Acceptable use policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

1. Overview

This policy sets out what is and is not allowed on OneStack services. It applies to everyone who uses an account or server, and to the people they invite to play or manage it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

You are responsible for what runs on your servers, including content and software added by your players, moderators and plugin authors.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use OneStack to:

  • Host, share or link to illegal content, or use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Distribute malware, or run phishing or other fraudulent sites or services
  • Launch or take part in denial-of-service attacks, or attack, probe or scan the ports, networks or systems of others without permission
  • Send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages, or run infrastructure that supports them
  • Mine cryptocurrency, unless your plan explicitly says that it is allowed
  • Resell, sublicense or share the service with third parties, unless we have agreed to it in writing
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights, including by running pirated game copies or unlicensed content
  • Harass, threaten or target people, or try to get around bans and security controls on our platform

3. Fair use of resources

Plans come with set amounts of CPU, memory, storage and transfer. Please use them in a way that does not harm other customers or the platform. If your server regularly uses far more than its share, or hurts the performance of others, we may ask you to change how it runs or move to a larger plan. Where practical, we will tell you before we take action.

4. Game servers and third-party content

Follow the rules of the game you host, including any publisher licence, server key, EULA or terms. Plugins, mods and scripts you install are your responsibility. We cannot review all of them, and we may remove anything that breaks this policy.

5. Enforcement

How we respond depends on how serious and how repeated a problem is. Possible steps include:

  • Warning. We tell you what we found and ask you to fix it.
  • Suspension. We turn off a server or an account, for example while we investigate or when a problem is urgent or continues after a warning.
  • Termination. We end the service, which can mean the data on it is deleted. Serious or repeated violations may be terminated without a warning and without a refund.

We may also pass information to the authorities when the law requires it or when we believe someone is at risk. See our refund policy for how this affects payments.

6. Reporting abuse

If you see something on OneStack that breaks this policy, tell us using the report abuse form. Include the address of the content or server and a clear description. If you found a security vulnerability, follow the steps on our security page instead.

7. Changes and questions

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed. If you have a question about whether something is allowed, ask before you set it up using the contact form.
