Frequently asked questions
Plain answers about plans, ordering, billing and support. Where something is not written down yet, we say so and point you to support.
Which plans does OneStack offer?
There are three plans. SSD Starter has 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 25 GB SSD storage, 1 TB transfer a month and 7-day backups, from $4 a month. NVMe Lite has 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 60 GB NVMe storage, 2 TB transfer a month and 14-day backups, from $7 a month. NVMe Pro has 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 160 GB NVMe storage, 5 TB transfer a month, 30-day backups and a dedicated IP included, from $10 a month. Both include DDoS protection.
The full side-by-side table is on the pricing page.
Which plan do I need for my game?
It depends on the game, how many players you expect and how many mods or plugins you run. Light games such as Terraria or Factorio can fit on SSD Starter. Heavier ones such as ARK, Palworld or 7 Days to Die need NVMe Pro. Each game page shows the plan it runs on.
For a rough starting point, try the plan planner. It gives an estimate, not a guarantee. If it points above 8 GB of RAM, contact us about a larger setup.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. Paying for a year is cheaper than twelve monthly payments: currently about 19% less on SSD Starter and about 20% less on NVMe Pro. These figures are worked out from the live price list, so the pricing page always has today's numbers. Choose Monthly or Annual in step 1 of checkout.
Can I change plans later?
Our features and pricing pages describe moving to a bigger plan as your community grows. The exact steps for your service are not written down here, so if you want to change plans, open a support ticket with the service name and the plan you want, or contact us first if you do not have an account yet.
What add-ons are available?
Three add-ons can be added at checkout: an extra 100 GB NVMe volume ($10 a month), 90-day backup retention ($8 a month) and a dedicated IPv4 address ($3 a month, already included with NVMe Pro). Prices come from the live catalogue and are shown again in the order summary before you pay.
How do I order a server?
Pick your game on the games page, open its page and choose Order. Checkout has three steps: configure (plan, location, billing cycle, add-ons), review, then account and payment. You can also start from the pricing page and choose the game later.
Do I need an account before I order?
No. Step 3 of checkout lets you create your OneStack account as part of the order, or log in if you already have one. We may ask you to confirm your email address afterwards. See sign up if you would rather create the account first.
Which payment methods can I use?
Checkout offers credit or debit card, PayPal, cryptocurrency and bank transfer (ACH, US bank accounts only). Which options you can use is shown on the payment step of your order. Prices are in USD.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle, monthly or annual, in USD and excluding any applicable taxes. If a payment fails we may suspend the server, as set out in section 5 of the Terms of Service. Your orders and receipts are listed on the orders page.
Can I use a promo code?
Yes. There is a promo code box in checkout. If the code is valid the discount appears in your order summary before you pay; if it is not, checkout tells you so and nothing is applied.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel a service from its page in your client area. The Terms of Service say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you cannot find the option, open a support ticket.
Do you offer refunds?
Our default policy is a 7-day money-back window on a customer's first order, requested through a support ticket. There are exceptions, for example for abuse and for add-ons that have been used. Read the full refund policy before you order.
How soon is my server ready?
Checkout says the server is set up as soon as payment clears, and your login details arrive by email. Cryptocurrency waits for one network confirmation, and ACH bank transfers wait for the transfer to clear, which checkout says is usually 1 to 3 business days.
Which games can I host?
OneStack currently lists FiveM, Minecraft, Rust, S&box, Valheim, Terraria, Palworld, 7 Days to Die, ARK: Survival Evolved, Factorio, Hytale, Left 4 Dead 2, Satisfactory, Space Engineers, Unturned and V Rising. Wardogs is marked as coming soon. Browse them all on the games page.
Where are the servers located?
The locations page lists every region and city. You choose a location in step 1 of checkout from the ones offered for your order. For the lowest latency, pick the location closest to most of your players. If you are unsure, ask support before you order.
Can I install mods and plugins?
That depends on the game. For example, our listings mention plugins, mods and modpacks for Minecraft, tModLoader for Terraria and mod support for 7 Days to Die. Mods use more memory, so choose your plan with that in mind (the planner has a mod setting). If you need a specific mod loader or version, ask in a support ticket before you order.
Is DDoS protection included?
What backups do I get?
SSD Starter keeps backups for 7 days and NVMe Pro for 30 days. A 90-day retention add-on is available at checkout. Backups are a safety net and not a replacement for keeping your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, as the Terms of Service note.
Can I move an existing server or world to OneStack?
We do not have a step-by-step migration guide published yet. In most games a world or save is a set of files, so copying them to the new server is usually possible. To avoid surprises, open a support ticket or contact us before you order, and say which game and how large the world is. The same goes for moving an existing OneStack server to a different location.
How do I contact support?
Signed-in customers can open and follow requests on the tickets page. If you do not have an account yet or cannot sign in, use the contact form. For known problems, check the status page first. We do not publish response times here.
How do I turn on two-factor sign-in?
Two-factor sign-in uses an authenticator app on your phone. Turn it on from your account page. You will scan a code, confirm with a 6-digit code, and receive a set of recovery codes. Keep those somewhere safe, because you need them if you lose your phone.
Can I export or delete my account data?
Yes, both are available from your account page. To delete your account you first need to cancel any active services. Our privacy policy explains what we store.
How do I report abuse of OneStack?
Use the report abuse form. Tell us what kind of problem it is, where we can see it and what happened. Our acceptable use policy lists what is not allowed. To report a security vulnerability instead, follow the steps on the security page.
Where do I find my orders and receipts?
Sign in and open the orders page. Each order has a receipt you can open. Your running servers are listed under services.
Still have a question?
Signed-in customers can open a ticket. Everyone else can use the contact form.
