About S&box hosting
S&box is a game and game-creation platform from Facepunch Studios in which players make and play custom gamemodes. A dedicated server runs those gamemodes for your community.
The platform is still developing, so server requirements and tooling can change between updates. We keep this page general for that reason.
S&box hosting questions
Which gamemodes can I run?
Servers run content published for S&box, including content you build yourself. What exists depends on S&box itself, so check the game's own pages for what is available.
Will the requirements change?
S&box is under active development, so memory use may change after updates. Use the planner as a starting point and ask support if you outgrow your plan.
Which plan should I choose for S&box?
We list S&box on NVMe Lite, which has 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM. How much you need also depends on players and mods, so try the price estimator for a rough estimate.
Can I change plans later?
Our features page describes moving to a bigger plan as you grow. To change plans, open a support ticket. See the FAQ for more.
