About Rust hosting
A Rust server runs a persistent survival world for your community. Many communities add plugins through frameworks such as Oxide or uMod to change rules, add shops or manage wipes, and you decide how your own server is set up.
Rust is demanding on memory and processor: usage grows with map size, the number of players online and how much has been built, and it climbs through a wipe cycle. Plan for more headroom than a typical survival game.
Rust hosting questions
Can I run Oxide or uMod plugins?
Plugin frameworks are a common way to run Rust communities. If you need a specific framework or version, tell us in a ticket before you order and we will say what is possible. We do not publish a fixed list here.
Can I wipe my server?
It is your server, so you decide when to wipe it. How a wipe is done depends on how your server is set up, so open a ticket if you would like help planning one.
Which plan should I choose for Rust?
We list Rust on NVMe Pro, which has 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM. How much you need also depends on map size and players, so try the price estimator for a rough estimate.
Can I change plans later?
Our features page describes moving to a bigger plan as you grow. To change plans, open a support ticket. See the FAQ for more.
